Tater Garden 2: the electric boogaloo

From my last post, I said I had some issues with starting my potato farm due to an insect infestation. Which during the whole process made me feel some kind of patriotism for a popular 90's sci-fi movie faction.

However, Since I've moved all of my plants over what seems to be the ant Berlin wall all the leaf munching has stopped, and my taters are beginning to grow. Honestly at a kind of alarming rate. This time next week they'll probably be in different pots again, as some are growing too big for their containers after only a week.

The dirt in the long container isn't level for all the plants, as the ones on the left aren't growing as fast, while the other two will probably have to be moved this week. The plants in the containers next to it may just need a bit of dirt over the next week. Hell, the one on the end of the long container seems to have played too much dark souls recently.

The other plants seem to be growing just as well. With some of them joining in on the sun praising.

Most of these seem to be growing well, which is very pleasing to see. Even the small ones are giving it their all and popping up in the containers I put them in. Which honestly is a bit adorable when you see little tiny leaves popping up out of the dirt.

The containter in the above image has a bunch of itty bitty sprouts under the soil, but in the bottom is the smallest, itty bitty leaf sprouting up. Which makes me hopeful. However, all this good plant growing going on, the one issue is with the bigger plants that got munched on that I replanted.

Sadly the plants that had leaves above soil had shriveled and died. Every single one of them. However, one plant started growing up out of the soil, which makes me think maybe some of them are still alive but just havent grown out of the soil yet.

I'm thinking next week I might do this on a tuesday instead of monday. because Potato Monday doesn't really rhyme. But Tuber Tuesday is a bit funny to me and sounds better in my own opinion.
