My sunflower has bloomed just in time for summer solstice!
So far just the sunflower on the right, the tall skinny one has a bloom. It's stalk is now long, skinny, and hard, haha. It was started indoors in early February. It has snapped, died, and revived many times, poor thing.
The other sunflower on the left, although a little shorter and farther behind, is growing much better. It didn't spend much time inside, it got hearty outside fast this spring.
The "tall" sunflower eventually snapped off and died. The new sunflower hasn't bloomed yet, but it's now about as tall as the old one (as tall as me).

The new one is much healthier and happier. The old one was... an experiment :)
