SUCCESSFUL TRANSPLANTING WITH MY BOY - LEMON BALM

in gardening •  7 years ago

We tried, and it certainly worked!

It is hard to believe, but that was already four months ago. While practicing certain skills, I also want to pass them on to the next generation, and so far, it's working!

IT WORKED!

While we were working on moving things down to our land last year, Monster Truck the Pepper and I transplanted some Lemon Balm plants. They are a great perennial herb that we enjoy and wanted to keep, so we moved them from our temporary garden nearby down to our land. When they all disappeared for the winter, I thought that we had lost them all.

In the video above, we show you that some in fact did make it and are already growing back this year down on our land! Monster Truck and I stumbled upon them as we were doing some work the other day and we were very happy to see it!

While they are just a few tiny leaves at this point, they still testify to the fact that these plants made it through the winter and have indeed survived. Also, it shows that Monster Truck learned a new skill, transplanting, and that he's learned a little more about life. It is rewarding to accomplish things like this, but even more so when you can accomplish them together as a family. We have got a long way to go, but the perennial garden is starting to take shape! Way to go Boy!

As always, I'm @papa-pepper and here's the proof:

Thanks @pouchon! WE appreciate the encouragement!

The lemon balm plant had to fight its way through winter to survive. Guess the plant knows it usefulness and had to scale through. Good to see it growing, that one of surprises nature plants gives. Impossible is nothing. I can see Monster Truck was very happy

He was very happy, as was I! It's good to see hard work pay off.

Yes very true. Hard work pays.

Spreading what you learn, what you do, and showing it to everyone is very valuable. Keep it up.. love these types of posts. :)

Thanks man! How's the witness going?

Wow...Lemon Balm is good to make Essential Oil. In Thailand we call "Sa-Ra-Nhaen".

It is some great stuff! We love it!

Thank you @papa-pepper. after I read your post. I now know about lemon balm. your job is great. Go Green papa. 😙

Waoh, thats great but whats is the ratio of the germinated one to those who doesnt make it

Nice work, I will like to practice this in my farm.

This made me remember when I travelled to my grandpa like five years ago, we did something similar.....well, kudos to @papa-pepper to well job done

Great work i appereciate you The lemon balm plant had to fight its way through winter to survive. Guess the plant knows it usefulness and had to scale through. Good to see it growing, that one of surprises nature plants gives. Impossible is nothing. I can see Monster Truck was very happy

Its nice to see this, hope to see more on other crops and plant.

Thats a breakthrough in agricultural practice hope to know all the procedure and steps to follow because I would like to put it into practice.

Hardwork really pays. And this post teaching me another lesson not to give up on any effort I put into an attempt because the result might not be instant as I wish.
With those ones, others might sprout too as you never can tell maybe they are undergoing late germination.

Above all
Thanks for gift of gif you expertly did for me. I'm grateful for it. I'm more than elated as it's my first GIF ever.

wow!
good & cretive job sir..
@upvote and resteem is done..

Saya juga, rajin ke kebun bersama orang tua saya, seperti @papa-lada

The movement of plants from one place to another is very good because it can fertilize the new and new atmosphere so that the growth is good and fast developing

Wow I remember those days in NY high school, where out teacher took us to his for transplanting

Flowers that bloom in adversity (plants that thrive in harsh weather), is the more rare and beautiful of them all. This is really impressive and ofcourse delighting.

Keep an eye on it, it spreads very easily and can start to pop up all over the place. Some moved on to my yard a few years ago and started spreading quickly. You can hack it back but if you leave some roots it will just come right back! Hopefully you have it somewhere where it won't over take any of your other plants!

Good information for me and my family @papa-pepper. Iam and my son like like lemon. We can try in my garden

Monster truck is really helpful and is a good ladies.
You have fathered him well.
The lemon 🍋 grub looks healthy and really dark green which is the best, and the fact that they made it through the winter shows great promise.

Great post and photography sir as usual and I wish you a Glorious and blessed palm Sunday.

Oh no... Monster truck has a cough @papapepper... but as long as he is out in nature I think he will be fine. This is the best healing. Enjoy your Sunday.

this is a miracle that comes to you @papa-pepper, because it's been so long this plant does not grow because of winter and suddenly it has come krembali.
this is a miracle for you.

prof. very nice this lemon. i have waiting seven day. sucsess prof.

Well-done job sir @Papa-pepper. Many times I do this transplanting, most of them don't survive, may I know the requirements to make a successful transplanting.

Good to see that you are teaching him survival skill like gardening at early age that he can use later on his life the rest of his life for survival off the land. I may have small planters of pepper and tomato plants.

That is right, this way he will always know if he ever needs it!

Wow, I'm happy for you that you did not loose the plants to the winter. I so much love the way you are grooming the kids and they are really learning fast. What a great family

Woow post your good broder @papa-pepper

Theres’s a thought about what I should plant this year. I had some but it did not survive. Perhaps it’s too hot for it here? Great that yours keeps coming back! Tip!

Excellent! What do you guys use the lemon balm for, just out of curiosity. We’re getting our garden going this year and I’m looking for all kinds of ideas.

Hey there, my friend!

Namaste,

I a little slow on the uptake. I transplanted some lemon balm last year and so far it looks like it has gone to that big garden in the sky. Perhaps I need to borrow Monster Truck for a few days and get him to help me transplant some more. He seems to have a very good green thumb!

Hurray! You are already getting the essential onto your new property.
Lemon Balm is so useful, and tasty.

I have soooooooo much lemon balm that I started digging it up last year and giving it to fellow gardeners. What a lovely plant.

Years of doing research always work when there is a great patience, master

Nicely done. That's exciting they made it, and he'll remember both the time with you and the skill of transplanting. I had a few perennial plants that I thought hadn't made it this last year, but it looks like they're coming back as well, so I'm happy. One of them, lemon mint. :)

Monster Truck The Pepper has found the secret to seeing things, use binoculars.
Either a bit went down the wrong way or he has a thing against lemon-balm, judging from the cough.
