We have a wild passion fruit vine that has established itself in my front garden. Most likely a present deposited from birds that have been eating someone else's fruit last year. It is loaded with lovely large fruit, we have to pick them a little green or the birds and possums will eat any that rippen on the vine.
I picked one a few days ago and enjoyed it on homemade Banana pancakes with Fig Jam topped with pears and my passion fruit.

The irony in this is that I have planted 2 grafted passion fruit vines and the top graft died with the root stock going crazy. Now this wild sown one is loaded with fruit.

I love passion fruit, my mom use to grow them in her yard. They are very popular in Hawaii, the Hawaiians call it Lilikoi and they use it in all sorts of deserts and drinks. For those of you who've never had passion fruit and is unable to acquire some locally, you can purchase Welch's juice. As someone who grew up drinking and dealing with passion fruit, I can say this is as authentic as it gets without harvesting the fruit yourself.
