So I made a beautiful fire pit!
When you have broken up foundations and sidewalks, you can do some pretty amazing things. Here at Phoenix Retreat I gathered broken concrete from around the yard to make a beautiful wood burning fire pit.
Start by digging a 3ft diameter hole 8 - 10 inches deep
Stack broken concrete pieces in a circle leaving openings for air-flow
Add family and friends ...
A fire pit is a great way to attract neighbors and create a sense of community. Here at the Phoenix Retreat the pit will serve as a focal point for gatherings where we will generate ideas for growth and discuss sustainability and spirituality.
As always, I Steem for my kids...

Good post
Fire in a childhood will be a good friend but when it is enlarged then it can be a strong opponent
Hopefully the fire that friends make for can be a good friend

Indeed, a well controlled fire is a good thing. Thankfully we have water near by in case it should escape the pit.

It's more than 7 days old so it can't be resteemed. Since this is a project at your house, you have my permission to use the photos and text in your own post. Just drop a mention back to @timeshiftarts
