Effective Microorganisms vs. Municipal City Tap Water

Look at the difference in tomato yield with Effective Microorganisms EM-1 and the tomato plant that I watered with Chicago tap water.

Here is what it looks like when you open the lid after 3-4 weeks of brewing by keeping the water around 95 degrees:

Do you brew with tap water? I heard Elaine Ingham say chlorine/chloramine isn't good for EM... tho your brew looks pretty happy!

No! chlorine will kill the culture. i filter the chicago tap water through a Berkey for drinking, and that is what i used for this. I wond3r if just berkey vs tap water (without any micro organisms) would show results in this test...
for the test though, any time i gave the one plant a gallon of berkey +EM i would give the other one a gallon of chicago tap water.
