The Challenge

It's obvious that summer is near in the Northern Hemisphere. So many beautiful plants and crops. And even the winter gardens in the Southern Hemisphere are still doing great. It was amazing to see what everyone has going on.

We broke the official record and got 19 entries this month. I don't have to explain that going through all of them (a couple of times) in order to decide who will be rewarded (something that only gets more difficult every month) is pretty time-consuming. Definitely when I have to spend so much time in my own garden, making sure my own plants will survive long enough to give me some harvest.

But hey, I'm not complaining... at all. I love to see the growing number of participants and all that beautiful greenery!

You can find all entries in the comments section of the official contest post: ๐ŸŒบ SteemIt Community Garden Journal Challenge - June

Just like every month, it was a pleasure reading all those garden journals and seeing all those beautiful pictures. It never gets old - every single entry puts a smile on my face. ๐Ÿ˜Š ๐ŸŒฑ

The Contestants

Once again, I had the pleasure to read some updates written by recurring contestants, and have met a couple of new people and their gardens at the same time.

A big thanks to everyone who participated this time and showed us their March update.
@hotflash (nice to see you're around again), @rollxp, @travoved, @porters, @astrizak, @abitcoinskeptic, @riverfows, @leeart, @mdosev, @minismallholding, @erikah, @allyson19, @nelinoeva, @plantstoplanks, @ericburgoyne, @hans001, @bengy, @exator and @zekepickleman. It is because of you that I can keep this contest alive.

I really enjoyed reading everyoneโ€™s posts. Again, the entries were of different varieties: we could see summer gardens, winter gardens, balcony gardens... I could simply feel the enthusiasm and the love for greenery. Once again, I fell in love with everyoneโ€™s story...

I'm sorry I failed to leave you all a decent comment, but my own garden is taking away a lot of my steemIt time. I assure you I did read every single post and enjoyed it to the fullest.

If you love your garden - no matter how big or how small it is - I probably wonโ€™t have to tell you that you are all winners.

If youโ€™re a bit like me you know how easy instant happiness can be: a flower that blooms, a delicious, homegrown fruit to pick, finding a ladybug walking around... They donโ€™t come any better than that, right?!

The Winners

Once again, it was very difficult to pick the two entries that would be rewarded with a 3SBD prize. I kept going back and forth between a couple, but I realized I could keep doing that for another couple of days, indecisive as I am, lol. So I had to take the plunge and select 2.

Choosing the random SBI winners was easier. I just entered all the names of the participants into the Steem Random draw name picker, and it picked two random names for me. They don't come any easier than that. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Anyway, time to announce the winners of the June-edition of the ๐ŸŒบ SteemIt Community Garden Journal Challenge.

(I'm using a Steem-Forever link on the winner's posts, so you can still reward the authors with an upvote if you like their posts, even after they have reached the 7-day payout period)

The winners are...

@minismallholding's Looking Back at June and the Garden Progress..

Congratulations to both of you. You were up against some very strong competitors and it was a really tough call.
I've sent your prizes to your wallets.

As promised, I have picked 2 random participants who will receive 2 SBI shares each. Since @incinboost seems to be back in business, I'll let the winners decide which service they would prefer: @steembasicincome or @incinboost. Let me know in the comment section below.

Well, that is a bit surprising for me! Thanks for your attention! I donโ€™t really know the difference between the two choices, but will most likely prefer the @steembasicincome service!
