Given this isn't a really price for gas, but thought of whether or not gas could reach this high is really scary.
My personal thought is one this will not happen in my life time. If it did I would be riding a bike a lot and sitting at home a lot more. At this price food would be astronomical and we would have to grow our own in our back yards. The price of everything would just go up.

Worry about the supply of gas, not the price!
Have extra gas cans (empty) in your garage, and if there's ever a supply issue on the horizon you can fill them as a contingency.
