When I heard the term gaslighting for the first time, it confused me. It was described as a form of abuse, but I couldn’t see how it was, the definitions I had come across seemed to suggest to me that it meant nothing more than lying, and that wasn’t a form of abuse, was it? But today, it has finally dawned on me what gaslighting is, and indeed, that I have been victim to it on many occasions, most notably at the hands of the left!
I’ve often been worried about calling out leftists when they’ve been horrible to me. This is because they always reply ‘woah don’t try to make me feel bad for calling you out for your shit!!’ - they attempt to shift the blame of their horrible behavior onto you for daring to disagree in an attempt to exonerate themselves. Gaslighting is when lefties reduce you to tears, and when ur like wtf u reduced me to tears, the lefties then try to make you feel bad for daring to become upset. They do this to excuse themselves, to free themselves from any form of criticism or critique.
