It's a pleasure to attend gastronomy class for week 3 and present my homework. For this week, l have learnt that a main dish should weigh between 400 and 550 grams, it should have three basic elements (protein, vegetables and carbohydrates) with this amount it is assumed to be enough for an individual.
I also learnt that we have more than 300 pasta in the world but is grouped into dry and fresh pasta. Is this not amazing? Please follow through as l answer my homework questions and carry out practical aspect of making a fresh pasta.

To be very sincere, l have never made it before. Let me say that in my whole life, l never thought of how fresh pasta is made from the scratch. But Gastronomy group has feed me with interesting information. It was simple but exciting moment to have this experience.
Prepare fresh pasta for 1 person, What kind of pasta did you make? Tell us.
From this week course, l am made to understand that we have different types of pasta. So, for making pasta preparation for one person in this contest, l choose tagliatelle pasta which is cutting of long, flat or ribbon-like pasta and Enjoy it with beef tomatoes sauce. Since l don't have floor measurements at home, l went to market and buy a measurable quantity. l got 85g of floor,1egg other items were available at home.
Ingredients .
✓85 g of wheat flour
✓ 1 egg
✓ 1 pinch of salt.
✓ Extra flour to work the dough when forming the pasta.
Utensils
✓ A rolling pin to stretch the dough.
Come let prepare fresh pasta together
The Frist things I did was washing all my cooking utensils etc. I break my egg into a bowl, poured the 85g of wheat flour into my working space and add a pinch of salt.
In my already made hole, I transfer my egg into the floor and mixed it properly.
I carry out a thorough mixing for about 10 minutes to get a dough, at a time, it became smooth.
I covered it with a plastic bag and put it aside for about 1 hour to rest in a room temperature.
After an hour, the dough was ready to be stretched, so I stretched the dough with the rolling pin till it became thin.
I used my knife and cut it in a long and flat shape since we are making a tagliatelle pasta.
In another clean pot, l put a cup of water and allow it to boiled.
I covered my pot, allow it to Cook till it floats, I seive it and set aside.
In my fridge, I had already made beef tomatoes sauce. I poured out the quality that is enough for my pasta.
I added it in a clean pot, warm it and transferred my already made pasta in it.
I added some vegetables leaf, that is Curry leaf which brings out an appetizing flavour.
Boom! My pasta is ready.

I dished out the pasta for one person and I used beef tomato sauce which contains protein to complete a main dish for one person.
I really enjoyed this meals because it is delicious so l have to add it to my family Menu.
When l read this contest, l was very curious of how making pasta from the scratch will look like but now l have accomplished it. I'm very delighted.
Which starter and which dessert would go with the main dish you just prepared? Imagine a 3-course menu that goes with your pasta.
I believe having chicken pepper soup as a starter and chill watermelon smoothie as dessert will give me a complete day with adequate meal.
Starter: Chicken pepper soup
Main dish:Tagliatelle pasta with beef tomato sauce.
Dessert:Chill watermelon smoothie 🥤.
I love and enjoy this challenge although for the past two weeks, I was not among the winners, but l will never be discouraged learning new things in Gastronomy world and that's my goal.
