Gate.io will not be supporting the US or Canadian customers I recived this email about a few weeks ago saying
Dear user，
American and Canadian users can still withdraw asset from gate.io
If you have any withdrawal in verifying status, you still need to go through KYC process. If you do not have a passport, you may Choose Password type and upload your driver license instead.
Choose Passport type, and you can upload the front and back side of the card
For the third picture, you may take a picture of yourself holding your card and a piece of paper with your gate.io account id on it.
and then when I went to logon the website
So it looks like they will be closing their doors to the US and Canadians in the very new future.
