I see humans but no humanity...

Have we lost faith in humanity? The sad reality of injustice and war has made us lose hope in humanity. The world has corruption, racism and many injustices towards humans. However, this article is not about that.

I am going to enlighten you on a few true heroes. Yes, there are heroes in this world and a few would be an understatement. There are more good doers than oppressors.

To begin with the most recent event, the Grenfell Tower in UK, that had burnt. The people of White city, West London supported the displaced families. It was mind blowing to see the community open their hearts and wallets.

The next devastating story occurred in our very own, South Africa, Knysna. 10,000 people were forced to flee their homes overnight, as fires fueled by storm winds ripped through the Western Cape coastal town. The community came together and supported the displaced families, with shelter, food, water and blankets.

When something this catastrophic happens and civilians step forward and show support and unity, it gives us hope in humanity.

I saved the most heart-breaking and ongoing event for last, Syria.

Unfortunately, this is not a natural disaster, like Knysna and the Grenfell Tower. This horrific reality is caused by human monsters.

The children that are being saved and pulled out from the rubble are being rescued by what’s left of the community. We are not all monsters, majority of the people reading this article people who have hearts. You just have to be human to care.

Its a pleasure, yes it is very sad. Thank you for commenting @shemabukhari

It's great someone is able to see the positives in these catastrophes. I believe helping each other is a basic instinct of every human.

@thatgermandude Thank you for commenting, yes there are many people who do care about others and about helping others, there are more humans out there than monsters.

The monsters are the ones who suppress this basic instinct by some bs argument they made up in their head.
