I just discovered this amazing 3d visualization of Space Junk called stuffin.space - what a cool name for it too!
Check it out. Really brings home how cluttered our orbit is becoming.
Now, obviously, all these things vary in size and stability of orbit - a lot will burn up in the upper atmosphere, but then a bunch of it could be highly dangerous to future space missions too.
