The passionate support for putting children who identify as the opposite gender on puberty blockers and hormones isn't about the child's well-being, it's about the adult's agenda.

Now the parents might be a different story. A parent who has a child with gender dysphoria might simply have been lied to. People tend to trust their doctors. If you unfortunately land on a doctor who is willing to lie, and claim that puberty blockers are just like a pause button, because the medical industrial complex sees a minimum quarter of a million dollars for every gender dysphoric child that it encounters, parents might be able to be forgiven for buying the lies.

For the activists, it's about bolstering an agenda. Very few trans people are classically liberal. The ones that are are attacked and marginalized by the leftist activities. A cornerstone of Marxist ideology is the destruction of the nuclear family. The more children they can sterilize before they even know what sex is, the more future adults they'll create who physically can't have a nuclear family. Also, to be fair to the activists, they know that a lot of hatred for the trans community in general still exists or the far Right; and, it takes almost no effort from the activits to accuse any honest detractor of bigotry. Accusing Abigail Shrier and Deborah Soh of bigotry is easier than reading their books. When even the ACLU is trying to get their books banned, it's easy to convince people that there's a sorted effort against them.

Still, the reality is that the activists don't believe their own bullshit. If gender is just what exists between the ears, and we shouldn't assume a person's identity based on what we see, and that we should be asking for people's pronouns with every new introduction, and that it's wrong to assume anyone's pronouns based on traditional gender expectations, why is it so important to pump kids full of drugs so that they'll present as that traditional gender expectation? If you can't see the contradiction in this, you're not a particularly intelligent person.

I think that it stands to reason that any moderately responsible adult would check the basic facts and numbers relevant to an issue before spending a significant amount of time taking to the streets and slandering opponents. If the activists stopped at gender affirming care for children who received formal diagnoses, I could believe that they're just wrong and deeply irresponsible. They don't stop there. Many of them go so far to call it transphobic to ever question what a child says about his or her gender. Namely, no diagnosis needed, just pump the kid full of drugs.

Namely, the entire movement is anti-evidence. They literally want people to stop asking for proof. A kid who still believes in the Tooth Fairy must be believed without question if he or she says that he or she is the opposite gender. It's the only movement on the planet that will use the same word twice in a sentence, and claim bigotry against anybody who asks them to define the word.

It's not that hard to look up certain relevant facts.

There have been claims made that gender dysphoric children are already aware of their gender identity, and that they need to be treated immediately. That's not true. At least a small majority, if not a significant majority, of children diagnosed with gender dysphoria grow out of it through puberty. Even if we confined puberty blockers and hormones to kids with a formal diagnoses (which the activists don't want), the odds are better than not that we're medically screwing up a child who isn't going to be gender dysphoric in a matter of a few years.

On top of that, even if we do drug a young male, who does grow into adulthood and still wants to live life as a woman, we're still screwing the person over. The kid is going to be sterilized before ever experiencing sex, or knowing what it is. The penis won't develop; so, the majority of these boys will grow up to be gay men with micro-penises who will never experience orgasm. A minority will still transition; but, the depth of the constructed vagina is based upon the length of the penis. There are people (monsters) giving lectures on the surgical procedures and complications of bottom surgeries in regard to micro-penises.

Basically, the overwhelming odds are that we're ruining these kids' lives. Even if these kids grow to be adults who are happy with how they're presenting to the world, the decision that they'll never be able to have children will have already been made by people who should have been the adults in the room.

This isn't even getting into kids who are experiencing osteoporosis, hair loss, growths in their brains, so-on.

In my conversations about this issue, I've encountered the worst of human garbage. I've challenged a few people specifically on whether or not it was appropriate to surgically remove the testicles of a minor. "Well, you'd do it for a minor with testicular cancer, right?" I'm not making this up. That was a real response. Nobody is so stupid that he can't see the difference.

This is also the area where I know for sure that the activists know that they're wrong. All the way up to Rachel Levin, we've seen the dodging of these basic questions regarding irreversible damage being done to kids. If these people really believe that this is what's best for kids, they wouldn't dodge the questions. They would say, in no uncertain terms, "Yes, we should perform bottom surgeries on children." Almost nobody will say that. They also won't condemn it. It's because they want to butcher kids, and they know that it's wrong.

If you're an adult, do what you want to your body. I don't care.

With children, we have to ask hard questions, and expose a lot of the adults in the room for the monsters and hypocrites that they are.
