“The guy will have to be able to handle me”

Do you realize how hard life already is for most people (women included)?

You think a guy wants to go out into a tough world to work for his family, to fight day in and day out against a very competitive world… to battle the hardest problems the world can face, in some cases facing threat of death from riskier jobs,… to scrap hardcore to get by in life, all of that just to come home to an argumentative, war-like, combative woman that he has to “handle”?

No, men want women to be their place of peace. The place where bliss thrives. Where they know they will be cared and loved for. Where they know that someone appreciative is there to reinforce joy and happiness and civility.

This is why the majority of men value modesty and being demure over strong and argumentative women. We’ve been biologically hardwired over thousands of years to be attracted to women that are sweeter and nicer and friendly and nurturing. Of course if they can hold down an intelligent conversation that helps, but men want more peace in an already stressful life, and many men live a life of despair and loneliness. (False dichotomy to say women can’t be smart and not much to handle. Plenty of smart women that don’t have to be “handled” in this world.)

The last thing a guy wants to come home to after facing a harsh world is a harsh woman. He already has to handle the rough world, last thing a man wants after a long day is to have to “handle” a woman too.
