The war on men continues. And this latest battle is being brought to you by the artist formerly known as Boy Scouts.

The Boy Scouts – or should I say “Scouts BSA” – are officially changing their name after the organization announced last year it’d be allowing girls to join its ranks.

Because it wasn’t enough to just have, you know, the Girl Scouts.

“So far, more than 3,000 girls have joined roughly 170 Cub Scout packs participating in the first phase of the new policy, and the pace will intensify this summer under a nationwide multimedia recruitment campaign titled ‘Scout Me In,’” the New York Post reports.

In the spirit of “inclusivity,” the entire organization now has to change its name to reflect its new all-gender policy. After 108 years of simply being the Boy Scouts of America, the group will now be called the Scouts BSA – a name Chief Scout Executive Mike Surbaugh says “evokes the past but also conveys the inclusive nature of the program going forward.”

“We’re trying to find the right way to say we’re here for both young men and young women.”

Here’s a thought: how about you “be there” for young men by telling them it’s perfectly O.K. to be a boy, rather than raise them into gender-blind wussies who’re terrified of their own “toxic masculinity” and wind up being the total opposite of everything most women want in a guy?

Just a suggestion.
