Genesis Mining is the best in the cloud mining Corporation in the space right now. I have being using them for about 6 months now and Managed to get over 148 THs mining power for bitcoin and over 500 MHs mining power for ETH.
In the last few week the company have being experiencing some delays with payouts as a result of some systems upgrades they had to make. The reason is that they were required to rebuild our server infrastructure after a security breach that happened two weeks ago. They have posted about this security breacj and the CEO made a video where he explained that the mining operations were not effected.
When I logged in today to buy more hashing power I noticed that the option to buy BTC Open Ended Contract disappeared. See Here:
The Question is. Were the mining operations in fact affected by the security breach or they simply ran out of hashing power for Bitcoin?
What do you guys think?
This is not really a big deal. Once in a while, Genesis Mining will stop selling a certain kind of mining contract for one reason or another. It has happened for Ethereum, Dash and Bitcoin but it never had any particular reason. They just have to upgrade their machines. This time, it has fallen right behind a major blockchain fork and a minor security issue at Genesis so people think it is something special this time. It is not, calm down everybody.

I think they ran out of hashing power and need a break to set up new mining equipment. Its possible that they were overwhelmed with contract orders because of the high bítcoin price.
