Genesis Mining - Please Don't Use My Code! Part 1

Hi all,

I just wanted to share my recent experience of Genesis Mining. I've been motivated to do so as when I was researching it a few months ago I really struggled to find any decent information on it. Essentially there were two camps online, those who said it was a scam, and those who said it was great, and then asked you to use their code when purchasing hashpower on Genesis!

For those who are currently researching Genesis Mining, then the way that the marketing of Genesis works is that when you sign up you are given a code. You can then give other people this code and if they purchase mining hashpower then you also get an amount of hashpower for free. They will then get a discount of 3%.

So basically, any of the Youtubers promoting Genesis (and there are many) have a huge incentive to promote the positives of Genesis Mining and not mention the negatives, because a lot of people watching the videos will use their codes.

Also, isn't in just the stupidest thing in the world that people of Youtube beg crypto Youtubers to use their Genesis codes?? If everyone in the comments section just exchanged codes, then there would be no value or point to all these videos of Youtubers filming themselves doing mining upgrades.
