Nigerians, when will we get disentangled from the cobweb of deception and implausible shenanigans we suffer in the hands of the government?
As I will never but have a lot of empathy for the 'released' Dapchi girls and their parents for the short separation, so also will I not but engage my intelligence in investigating the circumstances surrounding the said kidnap and release.
After a thorough analysis of the situation, I was able to come out with some highlights that will leave us with no better choice than to fault or question the sincerity of the government on this same issue.
The military men were out of position a week before the kidnap and an operational pause was observed by same upon the girls' 'release'. For easy passage, I think. Anything fishy about this?
Why was the procedure of the kidnap similar to that of Chibok girls abducted on April 14, 2014? A coincidence?
Some released pictures showed the girls with loads. How can kidnappers release their victims with a bunch of gifts and loads? For Easter celebration? (99.9% of them are not even Christians) As compensation or atonement for their sin?
Why was there a change in the figures of the 'released' victims? Let me not go deep since our beloved Uncle 'Lie' is involved.
The pictures released to the general public never looked like those taken at about 3.00am when the said release was made, but that which were taken in a broad daylight. Any convincing explanation?
One of the 'released' victims (Fasima), when interviewed, asserted that 'we were not starved one day, the insurgents allowed us to cook any food of our choice,' but a medical personnel (who probably witnessed the conditions the girls were subjected to) said "the girls are looking terrible. Most of them are on drip because they were very exhausted and underfed.“
Truth be told, all these are a demonstration that a perfectly rehearsed script is being played. We have become a mere toy in the hands of the government. But thanks to God that the cast used has been freed.
The whole exercise is a charade deployed by the government to win cheap but fraudulent political gains ahead of the forthcoming 2019 General Election.
