I do not believe that the youth of today has a right to birth a deficient generation; no, not at the rate in which the world has evolved.
The generations before us can be pardoned for their ignorance. I’d like to believe that they never thought the world would evolve as much as it has.
But our generation, no, we do not have the right to raise a failed generation after us. We do not have the right to raise a generation were love and family values are despised. We do not have the right to raise a generation who can’t even leave a strong family legacy after us. We do not have the right to raise a generation where domestic abuse is the order of the day in homes.
We do not have the right to raise sons who do not respect women or family values, sons who do not understand that a woman was created with a personal purpose, yet she still fulfills purpose in being his wife, his equal, a part of him. We do not have the right to raise sons who do not understand that it is the man that makes his woman ‘his woman’. He frames her into who he wants her to be. If he tears her down with words, she becomes a whitewashed wall.
We do not have the right to raise a generation of women who out of the dream for ‘women empowerment’ have no honor or respect for men. Women who forget that they were ‘formed’ from man.
We do not have the right to raise a generation of youths who after 10 years of handiwork experience cannot tag their business as an enterprise.
We do not have the right to raise a generation that doesn’t understand that having an international passport or driver’s license isn’t some rich privilege but a right. We do not have the right to raise a generation were electricity, water and food are luxuries not bare necessities.
We do not have the right to raise children who do not believe in their own mental, academic capacities. We do not have the right to raise children who can’t believe that they can be renown inventors. We do not have the right to raise a generation that still somewhere in their minds believe that the white man is still superior to them, so they have to look up to them for solutions instead of searching deep within and seeking wisdom from God.
We do not have the right to raise a generation who is more interested in social trends than they are in the education and instilling of social, business, educational, religious ethics and values.
We do not have the right to raise children who do not have a relationship with God or understand His love for us or the fact that He is the same God through all the ages and the miracles He did work in the past through men can still be done through them.
We do not have the right to raise a generation that believes that their self-worth should be determined by a man rather than by God.
We can forgive the past generations for their mistakes. Not many of them might have believed that the chains of slavery would be broken free of their necks, but we are a new generation, we have tasted freedom….mental slavery should equally not be carried into the next generation. We know better, we have enjoyed better privileges than they did.
We owe it to ourselves and the generations after us to build them up intellectually, strengthen their resolve and break all forms of mental slavery.
