Inherits One Or More Albino Genes From His Parents

in genetic •  7 months ago
Albino is caused by genetic factors. This disease is not contagious. A child is born with albinism because he inherits one or more albino genes from his parents. In the common case of oculocutaneous albinism, both parents must carry the albino gene causing the child to be albino. Lack of melanin makes albinos can experience complications, ranging from decreased vision to skin cancer. Albinism cannot be cured, but those who have this condition can take treatments to protect the skin so it stays healthy. There are two types of albinism that can occur, namely total albinism and partial albinism. Humans or animals experiencing total albinism are so rare that they become very rare animals, in the case of animals. However, some albinos are still found quite a lot in several types of animals, such as tigers, crocodiles, lions, zebras, and so on. In order for albino children to grow up healthy and optimally, there are several things that parents can do, including routinely checking their children's eyes every two years. Routinely take your child to the dermatologist every 6-12 months. Avoid drugs that make your child more sensitive to the sun's UV rays.
