Geniuses And Passion

Most people say Geniuses are born, I say otherwise. I say Geniuses are made. This brings me to the title of this article, Geniuses and Passion; you wonder what is the damn relationship between these two words. First we describe the two words.
Genius...an exceptionally intelligent person; a very rare display of talent in a particular area, especially in the area of science. A genius most of the times has a natural ability for something. A genius can also be said to be someone that has the a little knowledge of everything.(That I call ‘A Universal Genius’)

According to Merriam Webster Dictionary the word ‘Passion’ can be defined as a strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement towards something. Some other dictionaries define the word as a very strong feeling about something or a strong belief in something.
Your passion for something should make you go extra mile for that thing. It should make you read as much as possible for that thing, you should want to know every single detail.
For instance my little cuz, wants to be a pilot; He could even tell you everything a pilot needs to do land a plane safely, like the whole switching gears and stuff. He could also list the parts of a plane; like cars have carburettors and steering. Most of you would say he was born genius, again I say otherwise. His passion for planes has made him go on soo much research and it now looks like he knows too much for his age and a “born genius” as some people would say.

Now I’m not saying that people who are geniuses at a particular field all have passion for that field. Some people just feel like having knowledge of everything or a particular field, just so they don’t feel left out or just for knowledge sake. Some other people have passion for things and don’t ever become geniuses, maybe because they don’t feel it’s necessary.

Being a genius gives you a passion for abstraction; you always want to find a more efficient way to be more productive. I can boldly say that if everyone in the universe embraces his/her passion the world would have been a better place and life would’ve been much easier. For instance, imagine if Thomas Eddison, Isaac Newton, the Wright brothers didn’t go after their passion; the world would’ve been upside down. If you say any of them was not a genius, then you can argue with your ancestors.

Life is too short, find what you love the most(i.e your passion) and read everything on Google.com about that thing, don’t stop reading and practicing until you become a genius (if you feel it’s necessary). Like a senior friend would say, “Anything you keep doing for a lifetime that you don’t earn from is a hobby.” Well that’s a topic for another day.

I’m eternally grateful I work at Genesys Tech Hub, they encourage our passion and make our dreams come true. The truth is i would never have written this article without them. A big thank you to all of us @genesystechhub.
