I am a giant kid still...even at 38 years old. I’ve always loved toys and games so naturally I spent a ton of time at Toys R Us growing up. That’s why seeing this photo hits me in the feels.

Toys R Us lost to technology and to being unable to adapt in an ever growing and ever changing world....sad to say but it kinda was time. I get it. Still doesn’t change the fact that this once giant that brought smiles to people everywhere, is now a thing of the past to join other once behemoths that ruled in their day such as Radio Shack, Blockbuster Video, Tower Records, Woolworth, & so many others.

Thanks for the memories Geoffrey!

I remember driving around with my parents and smiling when seeing a toys r us store, I wondered why they went bust I guess technology taking over explains it, a real shame really @blewitt

Yeah. I get it. They really never evolved with the changing times. Still kinda blows to see it go.

My first job was at a Blockbuster Video. I can’t believe I got paid to work at a place that not only went out of business, but also became completely obsolete!

Isn’t it crazy?!? That place was THE PLACE to be on a weekend night. Snagging a movie was a family and or friend thing. Packed isles...

Nuts how just a little bit of time goes by and so much changes.

This reminds me of something:

Lol. What is that from?

Uderfist, a spinoff movie for The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. It was on Cartoon Network.

An army of living Halloween candy attacks the town and the supporting cast from the original show needs to band together and fight them. You basically have a team consisting of a huge talking spider; a childish demon; a crazy dictator, who tried to conquer Earth multiple times; a monster hunter, who is a Snake Plissken parody and black nerd kid, who is half mummy and quarter vampire.

It's just crazy as it sounds.

I checked out a location near me as the clearances started. I hadn’t been inside one in many many years. The format of the stores had really changed from what I recalled in my youth, so it just didn’t bring back the feelings I expected. Perhaps it’s just the filter of childhood memory making it seem better in the past!

Yeah, over the years it became more obsolete. I rarely purchased anything there in the last decade or so it’s more menories from childhood.

Everyone want to grow everyone want he is on the top me too and this toy also
