What is the deepest spot on Earth? Where is it located? Anybody know without looking?

The deepest spot in the Earth is the Mariana Trench. It is in the Pacific Ocean, north of New Guinea, near the Mariana Islands. Its depth is 35,838 feet below sea level. Scientists only discovered the exact depth in 1960 when the US Navy vessel Challenger Deep explored the trench.
