This is the amazing Nam Lolwe or Lake Victoria as named by the first Briton to document it in 1858. The man, John Hanning Speke, was on an expedition with one Richard Francis trying to locate the source of River Nile.

History taught me that Lake Victoria is the second largest fresh water lake in the world, the largest tropical lake in the world and the largest Africa's lake by area.

This lake sits on three countries' borderlines. Kenya, where I am from takes the deepest part of this 400,000 year old lake. Uganda and Tanzania take the shallower sides.

It is a great source of revenue for the Kisumu County (Governed by Lupita Nyong'o's dad, Prof. Anyang Nyong'o). Above everything that comes out of these waters,Tilapia fish is my favourite delicacy.

Sadly one side of it (didn't get it on the camera) has been raided by water hyacinth. That shit is suffocating this beautiful lake. The hyacinth started thriving thirty years ago after the increased amounts of raw sewage, agriculture and industrial waste found its way into the lake.

Climate change is real 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪
