The Bermuda Triangle. Myth or Reality?

Hi guys, this time I want to talk to you a little about the fearsome mystery of the Bermuda Triangle, an area of which a fascinating but spooky science fiction story was created.
Everything begins with the disappearance of flight 19, it was December 5, 1945.
5 planes with 14 crew members make a practice flight near the coast of Florida, but something starts to go wrong.

PILOT: I do not know where we are. We sure got lost after the last turn.
CAPTAIN: FT-28, this is Ft-2. What is the problem?
PILOT: My 2 compasses are broken.

After hours of confusion, the fuel runs out.

CAPTAIN: All the planes close. We will have to let ourselves fall, when the first plane has less than 10 gallons, we will fall together.

No more was heard of them and the planes never met ... This strange accident was the one that gave rise to the legend of the Bermuda Triangle, thanks to the fact that a journalist in 1952 published in the magazine of the paranormal "Fate" an article that he affirmed that "strange disappearances" occurred in that place.

Then, in 1954, the magazine Argosy took up the subject and coined the term "Triangle of Bermuda", defining the area that is between Miami, San Juan de Puerto Rico and the island of Bermuda. But the subject really became famous in 1974 when the science fiction writer Charles Berlitz decorated the story with more cases, exaggerations and frank inventions, published a sensationalist book that became BEST SELLER.

But ... What happens in the Bermuda Triangle?
The disappearances have been attributed to extraterrestrial abductions, sea monsters, methane gas eruptions and even unknown technology that would lie in the submerged city of Atlantis. The truth none of these theories is necessary because in this area, it does not happen more than normal.
It is a zone of high traffic: more than 1000 ships and planes pass through there every year, there are millions since registration, and only 50 ships and 20 aircraft have been lost; no more than those that are lost anywhere else in the world and less taking into account that it is an area where it is very frequent to find storms and hurricanes, in addition there is the sea of the sargasso a gigantic area full of entangled floating algae in which They can entangle ships.

Karl Kruszelnicki has insisted the reason why so many ships and planes vanish without trace in the area between Bermuda, Florida, Puerto Rico is nothing to do with aliens or fire-crystals from the lost city of Atlantis.

Something that is special about this area is that it is one of the few places on the planet where the magnetic pole is perfectly aligned with the geographical pole, which may confuse some navigators and pilots.

On the other hand, the depth of the sea is almost 6000 meters and there are parts where it reaches 8000 meters; Airplanes like those of flight 19, which weighed more than 4 tons, probably went to the bottom and will hardly be found. In addition, many of the cases reported in the sensationalist publications did not really occur in that area. Others occurred but if the remains were found and others were simply invented by unscrupulous writers eager to sell more. There is no record of them in the newspapers of the time.

Kusche further clarified that several authors wrongly reported several incidents. He pointed out a case where an author misreported a ship disappearing three days after it left a port in Atlantic while the fact was the ship actually left a port of the same name from Pacific ocean which was over 3,000 miles away.

In another case Kusche showed that an author described a ship getting lost in calm sea while the meteorological report showed a strong cyclone was passing by.

Larry Kusche in fact wrote a book detailing all the inaccuracies and exaggerations that have been incurred in speaking of the Bermuda Triangle. The interesting thing is how, from a few exaggerated cases, a myth of enormous proportions has been created that many people use to make business, because the mystery is always fascinating. But before solving a mystery you have to see if there really is a mystery to solve.
