Few day ago, OKC pulled off a trade involving Carmelo Anthony instantly making them a super team and a championship contender. For now, it’s still a question if the three of them fits together on the floor.
Westbrook is a point guard, George a small forward and Anthony is also a small forward. But Anthony can thrive at the four (power forward) just like what he showed in his stints in the USA team under coach K.
Sometimes Anthony slides at center if they go small ball. He can grab rebounds against bigger opponents because of his brute strength.
George thrives at the wings. Making him a potent 3-point shooting threat. But Anthony and Westbrook can make those shots too. Compared to Anthony, George is doing less post-up in his career.
With Anthony, you have a post and outside threat. George can give defenders a run of their money checking him at the wing position, not to mention that George is also a 3 and D threat. He can patrol the wings with his defense. And opposing team’s guard will have a hard time containing Westbrook in the distributing the ball at point guard.
Don’t forget, Westbrook broke the record of most triple double posted by Oscar Robertson in the 60’s. Westbrook posted 42 triple doubles last season. Oscar Robertson posted 41 triple in the 1961-62 season.
