And a Lannister assassin came in to off Bran for good, but he’s alive, and Catelyn fought off the assassin with Bran’s direwolf. Dude, the assassin was fucking freaky.

And quite wisely, after Nymeria drops Joffrey the Savage on his fat head, Arya runs off with Nymeria to get her out of there. Arya is hiding past nightfall. WHY… why wasn’t Arya taken to Sean Bean or Catelyn?? Why would she be taken?
GOD I LOVE ARYA! Calls Joffrey a liar straight to his fucking face.
How condescending is Robert? “You let that little girl disarm you?”
I read the first 2 books, and seeing it now, I still don’t get why they’d kill Lady instead. How does that make any kind of sense? Then again, we’re dealing with psychotic freaks, not a lot of rational people.
Arya stares right at Cersei as Cersei commands that Lady is to be killed. That infamous Arya stare.
And I hear how Sean Bean looks down on Jaime, buttttt, they’re not all that different. And there’s points of human psychology in here, which is interesting, in this confrontation, how we all justify the things we do somehow.
And Brandon Stark, the original love of Catelyn, and Robb’s rumored real father, has been mentioned.
And Ned has been crowned Hand. But 6 million in debt? Via Littefinger’s message, is odd. It’s like this one hearing in Congress where Don Rumsfeld is questioned, and we find out 6.5 trillion dollars are missing. If there’s 6 million in debt, 3 million goes to the Lannisters, where does the other 3 go to? And why?
Cersei is aware of the perceptions vs. truth, and Joffrey tells her the truth about the Starks and wolves. Double the taxes? Shit Joffrey is mean.
But what about the old addages about the Starks? Mystery still remains to be solved 6 seasons later.
And at least Arya has enough sense to question the Lannisters. Sansa and her spinelessness…. Arya having survival’s guilt and blaming herself, such a realistic device. Such a profound scene with Sean Bean.
AAAH! Syrio is here! Interesting how he refers to fencing as “dancing.” He seems used to training and teaching. I was so worried about Syrio coming in. Despite how he’s described in A Game of Thrones, I don’t know why, I always pictured Syrio being more like he is on screen.
Why is Ned so serious when Arya is “dancing?”

I like how Robb has enough decency to affirm the truth. And I doubt by season 7, Bran feels the same way.

Viserys hurts Dany and one of Drogo’s blood riders whips him, suggesting to take one of his ears to teach respect. Oddly enough, that actually teaches wisdom, but I prefer the nonviolent way. Jorah knowing Dany is pregnant is weird. He suddenly had to leave.
Dany slaps him, while he has nothing to say back to her. Dany was extending a gift and supper, and he shows up to trash it. This marriage brought the end of Viserys’ control. And it’s AWESOME.
Khal Drogo laughing straight in Viserys’ smug fucking face. DAMN! And saying to him in “the common tongue,” ‘You are no king.’ OOOOHHHH! And that was the end of Viserys. Drogo wasn’t having it as soon as Viserys approached Dany with his sword drawn.
Well, ffffffuuuccccckkKK! This witch! Dany didn’t know the whole story and vouched for the evil bitch that offed her husband. The murder of Drogo might’ve been mercy, but fuck…. Doesn’t make it easier to watch. It’s heartbreaking regardless of the situation. The whole thing is awful. The witch is a piece of shit!
Tyrion pissing off th side of the wall, he can cross it off his bucket list. With Tyrion and Jon, they could see eye to eye somehow, in a strange way. They can definitely see where each other is coming from.

I feel bad for the Mountain’s squire. Most of the time afraid and all. When he jousts with Ser Loras, that is one hell of a scene. Sean Bean should be honest with Sansa. He knows Ser Loras has a 60% chance of dying already, and nothing’s happened yet. What the hell is wrong with The Mountain, chopping a horse? Shit!
I loved that Sandor goes to stop The Mountain from beating Ser Loras to death.
Suddenly you hear a growl of," Leave him be!"
Wait, what? And Sandor spars with The Mountain til Robert orders them to stop. Sandor's kneeling is FANTASTIC choreo! But even on a show level, it probably wasn't incidental. Sandor knows what he's doing. Ducking would be a smart move if Robert said anything or not. Once The Mountain stalks off, Ser Loras honors The Hound, but The Hound brushes it off, cause he isn't a knight. But I thought it was interesting.
AND, even Robert Baratheon, the king, takes a deep breath and shakes his head as The Mountain stalks off, like “that was a close one.”
Listening to Varys and so and so plot with Arya hiding and listening is weird. Varys knew about the wars.
Fuck you Robb, “it’s not your house.” Theon’s just as much a Stark as you at this point. Robb getting on Theon for saving Bran.
SYRIO AND ARYA! He says, “There is only one god, and his name is death. And what do we say to death? ‘Not today.’”
We cut to Dany eating a horse heart. UGGGGGHHH!

The Mountain is a psycho anyway, but book cannon makes him a twisted mofo. The Mountain would be the lovechild of Jeffrey Dahmer, Dick Cheney, and a torturer at Gitmo. I'm glad they didn't go too far into THe Mountain's background in the books.
Now I get to see more of what Bronn is made of. Suggestion from more book cannon leads us to believe that Bronn might be a faceless man.
Lysa scares the fuck out of me like Donald Rumsfeld does. “Stand and fight coward.” Lysa, he’s fighting. You just don’t like the fact he can move, unlike your fighter. Bronn’s fighting smart. Which is… interesting.

And Ned finds out why Bran was attacked.
