English call it Georgia, Lithuanians call it Gruzija and Georgians call it Sakartvelo. The Georgian language is among 14 unique languages in the world which have their own alphabet. Mtskheta and Kutaisi, both former capitals of Georgia, are among Europe’s 16 oldest cities.
Only now I realized, I have skipped this video. In last two posts, I showed you our first moments in this beautiful country and then jumped right to Iran. :DDD The truth is we spent around 7 days in Georgia: I think 4 of them in Batumi and 3 of them - hitchhiking from Batumi to Kutaisi and Martvili Canyon and back.
The biggest difficulty was the language barrier between us and Georgians. Most of them don't speak English, and our Russian is a bit rusty. However, Georgians are extremely friendly people. Georgian elders know Lithuania very well. Lot's of them have been there during Soviet Union times.
My girlfriend @Kamile feeding some dogs.
As you can see in the video, we met one hospitable man, somewhere close to the Martvili Canyon. The guy let us camp in his land near a river. We also cooked food and tried his homemade Georgian Vodka. It tasted like it was the creation of the devil. :DDD However, it was a part of cultural exchange I guess. Later his wife called and told him to go home, or else she would hurt him. :DDD
