Introduction: 

Georgia  (საქართველო) is a country in the Caucasus region of Eurasia. It's surrounded by 4 countries: Russia, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Armenia, with the Black Sea on the West side.  Georgia is a representative democratic semi-presidential republic, with the president as the head of state, and Prime Minister as the head of government.
2 parts of Georgia are occupied by separatists: Abkhazia and Samachablo. This is due to the 2008 conflict Georgia had with Russia.

Creation of Georgia

During the classical era, several independent kingdoms became established in what is now Georgia, such as Colchis, later known as Lazica and Iberia.  Pharnavaz I was a king of Kartli, an ancient Georgian kingdom known as Iberia in the Classical antiquity. He united all the Kartvelian speaking kingdoms, he is known to be the first Georgian monarch.

Religion:

 In the first half of the 4th century, Christianity was adopted as the state religion of Iberia (present-day Kartli, or eastern Georgia), following the missionary work of Saint Nino of Cappadocia.  Georgia was one the first countries to adopt Christianity as a religion.

Today, roughly 84,00% of the population is Orthodox Christian, 10% Muslim and the rest Catholic Christians, Armenian Christians, Atheists etc.

Culture:

Georgia's culture is one of the oldest cultures that exist, next to the Greeks and Egyptians. The oldest wine was dated back to 8000 BC, in Georgia where jars full of wine were uncovered.

Georgia also has unique writing. It doesn't belong to any language family, as if it's on its own, like Georgia itself.  The Kartvelian family is not known to be related to any other language family, making it one of the world's primary language families. 

Georgia also has a unique style of dance. Remember that Georgia has parts, regions if you will. Where how people dress, way they talk, their dance moves and foods are different. Yet, we all consider each other Georgian.
