EXPLORING GEORGIA
Tbilisi, Georgia.
Hello there, Everyone! It's my first post on this platform, I'm happy to collaborate together with you.
Two years ago I’ve been travelling in Georgia. This country is famous for its’ nature, history (It's clearly obvious, but Joseph Stalin was Georgian-born Soviet revolutionary leader) and culture as well.
To start with, I’ve been visiting Georgia for 12 days. 3 to 4 days I lived in Tbilisi (Capital of Georgia) and the rest of them in an unknown village located in the Caucasus mountains. Tbilisi has been an old human settlement since the 4th century. On the top of the mountain you can see the Narikala fortress, one of the most famous sights in Georgia.
Ok. Let’s go to some rural areas around here. Travelling to these areas is quite long, but beautiful journey by poor quality mountain serpentines.
We’re travelling in the mountains with this US-imported Ford F350 4x4 van. Unfortunately, 4x4 truck is only one way in and out from mountain rural areas Here I was playing pocket pool .
Foot rest.
When it was dark outside, we had finally reached our accommodation in the village. (The trip by car from Tbilisi to here took 11-12hours time). Let’s take a look at the village.
Unfortunately, these apartaments don't have any electricity, hot water or wi-fi. Only LED lights, cold mountain spring water and beautiful landscape. For me, It was one week isolation from civilization.
Houses are built using mountain silicate stones.
Perfect companions in local journeys - horses. I’ve took one....
And met donkey around here.
While I was hiking, I found Caucasus shepherd. It’s nice, white fur dog, looking like white bear. Unfortunately, this dog species have quite an aggressive attitude. In Lithuania you need special permission to breed this dog.
To conclude, Georgia is pretty country, where you can see a lot of beautiful sights, landscape and live in well-maintained culture. I recommend it for everyone, who like active tourism and experiencing culinary and vines.
