COVID-19 strikes Parliament; we are not safe - Speaker declares

Some members of Parliament tested positive for the deadly COVID-19 scourge, Speaker, Alban Bagbin, has disclosed. Ghana recorded 13 more deaths from the contagion, bringing the number of total fatalities to 390 as of January 25, 2021. Active cases also stood at 3,940 after 625 new cases were recorded in six out of the 16 regions in the country. “We are not disclosing those who are now Covid-19 victims. But we have some of us in that category,” Bagbin told the House on Friday, January 29, 2021. “We are not all safe,” he warned. Ghana has so far recorded a total of 63,883 cases with 59,553 people recovering.
