Memories come along with some good or bad feelings... 😬😬. But some chiIdhood memories!, I can not forget and I am sure you can't too.
Hello diary, as I sat down by this structure to get some rest and move on in the days activities, I chanced upon these wonderful little ladies, who were joyfully playing a dangerous #game yet the joy with which they did so triggered some memories and I want to share them with all Steemians.
WHAT JOY ON THEIR FACES
THIS IS QUITE DANGEROUS RIGHT ?
From where I come from, #Ghana, certain old games and fan activities kept the bond of love and unity between and within us. Examples of such are; Piilooloooo, Ampe, Blue Blue, Nkuro, Racing with cloth on your waist, banku(which we give one a heavy back blow), Ludo, Oware( an African Board game), Kaloo (where you find on any object a number that repeats itself, mention them aloud and giving some heavy slap on the other playmate's hands) just to mention few.
It may have costed lives, but we still played them, it could have caused pain yet just the fun of being with friends was everything in our minds.. Some were dangerous yet they were fun to us ...
- Piloolooo
And its respond in the native Akan #language ("nkwasia adwuma") meaning its a 'Silly' work 🤣. They weren't wrong saying that because in this game all teammates would go into hideout, and the one on whose turn it is would make sure to Hide a broken broom stick(s) somewhere silly. AND you may not believe you would go round and round finding the broom stick(s). And whoever finds them would take the turn, but until then the leader would keep the team searching. AND because he doesn't want to also roam about searching, his aim is to make sure no one sees where he's hiding them... but we are children and definitely one or two people would peep or secretly spy on the leader.
- Racing with Cloth tied around our waist..
This one was my favorite. It made you feel you were in sky with a parachute and just enjoying the #beauty that #nature brings. Fresh and cool breeze all around
THE FEELING OF FLYING ON THE LAND🥰

- Ampe
Its a game mostly played by ladies. It can be played by two or more persons. Both players jump up at the same time, clap, and propel one foot forward when they jump up. If the players have the same foot forward, then one who opted for that option (same foot, different foot) wins a point. If the players were in a circle or any form, then a leader would moves along the inside and play against others in turn

MEMORIES
Do you remember when you pretended you were ill just to skip school🤒?
Do you remember taking a friend's belongings just to keep him busy in search for them .
Do you remember when it was almost Christmas and you were too eager to get some coool Fried rice with Chicken and One bottle of coke😁
What did you do when you broke moms nicest serving glass cup or plate just before she could serve her guest?
Did anyone ever mistaken his/her elder siblings food for his/hers ....
Those days that one would over pack his/her underwear so that he/she doesn't feel the pains from the Lashes our teachers gave us back at school? NO matter how tight they would squeeze our shorts to give us some lashes
Remember the day you were ill and did not feel like taking in this same food if you had asked your parent to buy even if they had money they wouldn't have bought
And after recovery, if you should ask about this same food it would sound like noise in thier ears
Did you ever receive a knock on your head because you were not invited into a conversation, or mistakenly got your parent angry?🙅♀️😁
Its just unfortunate this may not be the case of some people . I only wish them the best in the Life that still remains..
What joy it was when there was a free time to move out and play. Not surprising to know that #steemitashanti always had it at heart to visit our children at the orphanage homes just to put smiles on thier faces

REMEMBER ITS @jeeandmee
Memories are really worth repeating. Thanks for sharing that sweet moment with us. I miss them all.

I’m not stalking or anything😅 but let’s just say I scanned through you account and I really look forward to seeing more posts from you.
PS: I don’t really know pilooloo as you called it and some other Ashante games from childhood as I’m from the north. Maybe you could play it with friends sometime, you know maybe recreate it for me in kind of a diary game? That’d be really awesome😊
