Another remarkable birthday is here.
Gold Cost, now known as Ghana, gained independence from her colonial master ( Britain ) on the 6th March, in the year 1956.
The flag of Ghana is made up of four colors, indicating each:
Red- represents the blood of those who died in the struggle for independence
Gold- stands for the mineral wealth
Green- symbolizes the rich forest
Black star- represents the hope of Africa.
Ghana's succession is attributed to the infinite efforts of the late President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, who led Ghana into Independence an passed away in the year 1972.
Ghana is declared a National holiday on every 6th March to celebrate independence.
Today 6th March, 2018. Ghana is celebrating 61 years of Independence.
Hurray.... Happy Birthday Ghana!
Proud to be a Citizen!
