One day in 2012, we were just moving into our new home, a 19th-century old mansion, which had been un occupied for many years. It was the house in the photograph. I had just come out of the hospital, after a leg amputation and in a wheel chair. My wife and friends had kindly assisted us in getting the place as a vandalism deterrent.
I could no longer operate my cellphone repair shop and had to drastically cut back on expenses, so this was a Godsend for us. My wife had moved in with our pets a month earlier awaiting my hospital release.
The morning of my arrival my daughter and friends were there to welcome me home. The house has a passage, running the entire length of the house. We had just said goodbye to our friends and because I had yet to see the inside of the house. My wife was pushing the wheelchair, much to my protestations, because I needed to self-maneuver for the exercise. So I told her. She must have wanted to take me on her own guided tour so I remarked about it, saying:"Oh very well then, you push me around the place, while I am going to simply relax, and enjoy the view. Then, off we went. When we arrived at the opposite end of the passage, I asked her if the spacious room I was in, was going to be my new study?" She didn't answer and once again, I assumed it was simply part of a game.
MY STUDY
It was only when my wife was coming towards me, carrying a tray with 2 cups of tea and some cookies, from way down the passage, that I felt a chill run down my back. She put down the tray on a nearby table and remarked that I seem to have loads of energy, having got to my new study so fast. That was when I realized, this was no joke. "I asked her directly:"So, I suppose it must have been a ghost, pushing the wheelchair?" She looked very surprised and answered, saying:"It definitely wasn't me, pushing your wheelchair, as you can see. "I was waiting for the kettle to boil for the tea. You said, you needed the exercise, so at that point, I left, to make the tea."
A while later, we heard from an elderly couple living next door, that the owner, had lost both legs in WW II and employed a full-time nurse, to assist him. They had both died several years earlier.
We lived in the house for several years without any similar supernatural incidents until the house was sold and we had to once again move.
