The gifts in the Old Testament: Joseph was in command of the officials, and he taught the leaders how to use wisdom. Psalm 105:22

The Psalm 105 is a song of praise to God for the wonders of the creator in favor of his people Israel. And among the providential signs the Psalm highlighted is something that would later be fundamental for the Christian faith with the action of the Holy Spirit, the spiritual gifts of God poured out to his children, and the Psalm showed Joseph, Jacob's favorite son, as an example of this.
This is why the Psalm begins with these wise words, blessed are those who choose the correct path of life and are not deceived by the apparent goods: "Seek out the LORD and his might; constantly seek his face" Psalm 105:4. And this expression has a meaning because God is a spirit, and his face in metaphorical terms is nothing more than his own wisdom, seek God and his wisdom above all things teaches the Psalm.
And after all these, the Psalm mentions the prophet Abraham as the repository of a spiritual promise and how God protected him and his family, the Psalm recounts then the extraordinary actions of Joseph, a man devoted to God, who allowed the Israelites to arrive in Egypt due to a terrible famine in the region.
Joseph, the Bible says, had received from above the gift of prophecy and the ability to interpret dreams. And these gifts, accredited Joseph before Pharaoh, when he was still in prison.
This is why the Psalm states:
"Joseph remained a slave
until his own words
had come true,
and the LORD had finished
testing him" Psalm 105:19.
And then the Psalm teaches how Joseph's wisdom saved not only the Hebrews but also the Egyptians from ruin and disaster:
"Joseph was in command
of the officials
and he taught the leaders
how to use wisdom" Psalm 105:22.
The Psalm 105 is a precedent in the Old Testament for the teachings about the Kingdom made by Jesus, and how men by faith, like Joseph, can receive the true goods, which are the spiritual goods such as wisdom and prophecy.
