Giftware Firm Showcases New Brand At Top Trade Show
BusinessNewsShoppingUncategorized by Gerry Crookes - September 4, 2017

Bradford’s new giftware wholesale company AwanHeart is showcasing its brand on the National and International stage as part of its expansion programme.

The company was set up to retail the Heartwarmers giftware range after the brand was bought out by investment business and management consultancy NMC Galaxy.

AwanHeart is making its first appearance at the Autumn Fair at Birmingham NEC this week (from Sunday, 3rd September, to Wednesday, 6th September). The Bradford team is joining hundreds of leading businesses from across the UK and abroad for what is one of the sector’s biggest and most prestigious National and International trade events.

The event showcases the whole range of giftware products from homeware to children’s toys and features a fashion catwalk and toy demo among other attractions. As well as networking with fellow business owners and potential customers, the AwanHeart team will be able to benefit from a range of seminars, workshops and “meet the expert” sessions.

The NMC Galaxy group acquired Heartwarmers, previously based in Stalybridge, in April this year and transferred operations to its Bradford headquarters. Heartwarmers was then re-branded as a wholesaling business selling plaques, lap trays, garden signage and giftware to the wholesale trade industry, including home shopping, DR TV, garden centres, retailers and department stores.

At the time of acquisition, the new owner, NMC Galaxy Chief Executive Nasser Malik, pledged to expand the business, taking it from a £1 million turnover operation to a £3 million – £5 million turnover business within the next three years, leading to the creation of several additional jobs.

Mr Malik was recently crowned Bradford’s Business Personality of the Year in the Telegraph & Argus Bradford Means Business Awards in recognition of his contribution to the growth of the local economy.

He said: “In order to develop the business, we need to promote the brand across the UK and abroad and this means having a presence at major trade events. We’re very excited that we’ve managed to get a stand at the Autumn Fair which has been active for eight years – with places now highly sought-after by exhibitors from across the globe.

“This is a huge deal for us as it provides us with a platform to relaunch the company as AwanHeart to a massive audience and build strong connections with others in the sector.

“It’s also a great opportunity to showcase our products to hundreds of potential customers and offer some compelling deals to drive forward our growth plans. We hope we will put on a good show as ambassadors for Bradford and Yorkshire business.”
