About 5 years ago I applied to Bayero University Kano Nigeria to study a masters in plant science, part of what was required was a transcript from my previous University where I got my bachelor's degree which was the University of Jos Nigeria, so I applied for the transcript to be sent to Bayero University school of postgraduate studies, I didn't apply for free of course I had to pay.
After the admission list was out my name wasn't on it, I was very sure I met all the criteria but I couldn't get in so I decided to try next year ,I went to the postgraduate school to make enquiries and complaints so I was told my transcript never arrived that was the reason I couldn't secure the admission, so I decided to go to the University of Jos academic office myself to apply for it only to find out that my transcript to be sent out didn't make it,may be because some careless messenger forgot to mail it to Bayero University.
I decided to take it myself to the I was applying for an admission ,that incident made me really angry, I thought why was everything so manually done? why can't there be a way Bayero University can actually verify that I went to the University of Jos and get my transcript automatically from a computer ?would that be so bad? I actually think it will be extremely cool and as you can guess a way out is finally here.
