On October 19, the relevant person in charge of the Social Education Section of the Education and Sports Bureau of Xishan District, Kunming City told The Paper that a written report by the park showed that Xiaomeng was playing with large toys at the kindergarten outdoor activities at about 16:40 on September 2. An accidental fall occurred.
Later, Ms. Zhou sent the child to the nearest Kunming Children's Hospital for treatment. The outpatient medical records showed that the child had a laceration on the left vulva of the lower body. The slit was about 1.5 cm long and deep to the full layer of the skin. Seven stitches were required. Ms. Zhou said that when the stitches were removed, the doctor informed that "the child had a ruptured hymen."
Ms. Zhou said that the garden party replied that the child was injured while playing on the slide at about 4:30 pm on the day of the incident.
However, Ms. Zhou raised questions about the matter: the child was injured at around 16:30, why she was already at 17:50 when she received the call, and what happened in the meantime; when she rushed to the kindergarten, the child’s outer pants were intact and the underwear was already intact. She was changed by the teacher; when she checked the surveillance video at the police station, she found that the child played the slide back and forth 7 times. On October 19, the relevant person in charge of the Social Education Section of the Education and Sports Bureau of Kunming Xishan District told The Paper that they received a phone call from the garden to report the matter on October 9 and received a written report from the garden three days later.
The written report showed that Xiaomeng had an accidental fall while playing with large toys in the kindergarten's outdoor activities at about 16:40 on September 2. At 17:30, the child cried and told the teacher when he went to the toilet.
The above-mentioned relevant person in charge stated that on the day of receiving the report, the garden had been asked to cooperate with the police and parents in handling the matter, and to bear the child's treatment costs in advance. At the same time, the Education and Sports Bureau requires the park to investigate and rectify hidden safety hazards in facilities and equipment, and improve the management ability of teachers with children.
