The competition will run until approximately the same time next Friday.
The logo will feature on all of my main post images and I hope, should any other Steemians adopt the Giving Steem initiative they may also choose to use the logo.
I am looking for a simple design that works when it is small...containing a hand and the Steem logo.
edit it would be better if the logo did NOT contain the word steemit or any photography. My appologies for not making that clear from the outset! Thank you

Hi olegw, these are fantastic, but not quite what I'm looking for. Two things, there should be no real image in the logo....like the photo of a hand and no reference to steemit as steem can be given in other applications too.
Think of the logo as being an extension of the original steem logo....just with the artful addition of the impression of a hand.

By the way: Are you more into some simplistic art or some kind of more realistic/fancy? I'm asking this, because we just have one chance to make a logo, that'll be chosen by you/(the community) and will then (hopefully) gain popularity.

I am hoping for something simple and elegant that will look good if shrunk down. I want the logo to convey the simple message of giving steem and alert steemians when they see it on the main image of posts, that the person making the post will be giving some of the rewards to charity....how much will be up to them to find out if they are interested.

Basically the idea was, that Steem needs some kind of container to be stored in to make it visible. I found spheres to be kinda pretty.
So I just put some Steem into an empty glass sphere and instantlly there was lightning and shit, because Steem is way too powerful.
Warning: Handle with care! Those things are pretty dangerous / fragile, due to the massive power stored in those little orbs! (Wasn't easy to put Steem into them, but I somehow managed to pull it off.)

I like it! It has a good, well thought out framework and short enough to be fun! If I get the time...can't promise anything...i'll have a go.
