The glory of God: Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength. Jeremiah 9:23

Like all prophets, Jeremiah must warn the people that they must follow the right path, when men trust apparent goods there is a false sense of well-being and security. The prophet Jeremiah in one of his oracles teaches us that there is an end beyond the search for wisdom, wealth, or power, and that goal is the glory and knowledge of God:
"This is what the LORD says:
´Let not the wise boast of their wisdom
or the strong boast of their strength
or the rich boast of their riches,
but let the one who boasts boast about this:
that they have the understanding to know me,
that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness,
justice and righteousness on earth,
for in these I delight, declares the LORD.´", Jeremiah 9:23-24

To know God is to know his glory: "Therefore as it is written: ´Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord´", 1 Corinthians 1:31.
Glory is a gift from God, glory is the fame of God, the perfection of fame: "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.", Psalm 19:1
There are two kinds of men, those who act for money and those who act for ideas. We can say that there is no more perfect idea than glory, because wisdom rewards the wise, wealth rewards the rich and strength the strong: but with glory we leave a good to others, the message of inspiring others, to call the other to be a better person.
And a good example of this is Joan of Arc, the maiden of Lorraine, who not only fought for her King and her country, but for the Glory of her Lord Jesus. Joan of Arc lost her life but left an indelible memory, Joan of Arc is the example to follow for all French people and not only that, Joan with the example of her life continues to inspire thousands of people around the world. Joan of Arc is a good example to explain what it means to seek glory as a good.
Glory is a different good from others, because it does not reward those who possess it, but rather those who understand it and perceive it with the heart.
