I just found out I can't eat gluten anymore and I'm just in a phase like " what do I even eat?" π
My flatmate couldn't eat gluten so he had gluten cheat days. And instead just eating one meal with gluten he basically ate the whole day only gluten products. He always had diarrhea for atleast 2 days after that π€£
if he has celiac that's actually super dangerous it can cause bleeding in the intestines and irreversible neurological damage
not celiac, he has some autoimmune disease and gluten is triggering it yes the ones associated with celiac is neuropathy, ataxia, dementia and seizure disorder
Iβm a gluten free and soy free vegan if you ever need any recipe ideas! Rice, buckwheat, oats (be careful on this one, some get mighty close to gluten), quinoa, potatoes, bean/rice based pastas, tapioca/rice/potato based breads and bread-like products.

Yeah, you have to be very careful with oats. Always go with brands that are certified gluten free, but even then, it may just be safer to avoid them.
There is still a lot you can eat. There are decent substitutes for most gluten products. It can be tough being GF and vegan when going out to eat though
I'm so sorry. I accidentally bought my favorite breakfast bars gluten free last time. I didn't realize how bad they were until I got the normal ones again.

It's a modern era, you baby. You can literally eat anything, just a gluten free version. It's not that hard. If you can read, you can do it.
That initial phase is still exhausting when you don't have 2 hours to spend reading labels in the store though. It takes time to find your favorite substitute versions of anything. Not to mention it got 10x more expensive to eat bread overnight.
I have 2 celiac sisters, tons of my own gf recipes and a literal wealth of gf recipes/ideas/safe places to eat from that alone, and I would still have a major food crisis if I learned I needed to cut gluten.
