Gmail - Privacy and intrusion
An email address is intrusive when it's tracking you everywhere
This is the case for Gmail (Google) who control the following services:
a web browser
a search engine
an advertising network
a social network
a web mapping service
a cloud storage service
If you are using Gmail, Google will know all your actions on the Internet and will use these informations endlessly: content of all your sent and received emails, all your Internet searches, history of the visited websites, list of all your actual and past contacts etc. Simply look at the Facebook-Cambridge Analytica scandal! Exactly the same could happend with Google. Everybody knows that, but everybody keep using it. Users will cry later.
You can observe that you are tracked by Google when your identity is displayed at the top of the page in other services.
Days after days, using the Internet will bring some additional data to Google's data base. Gmail can quickly accumulate a consistant database about you.
If you are using Gmail, I encourrage you to read the terms of use and to configure the protection tools.
HAPPY EASTER steemians!
