Go Club Evening at Pub Hiidenkivi

in go-club •  7 years ago

At the crossing of Vapaudenkatu and Rautatienkatu towards the south

Pub Hiidenkivi at Rautatienkatu 28 to the north of the street crossing

Ugly building, but the pub is nice.

I gave Jaro a nine stone handicap

White is gaining but not too much.

The game is still pretty much undecided.

It's ready to be counted. Black is clearly ahead.

Black (Jaro) wins by 25 points.

We played another game after Jussi left.

Black resigns here.

This time white (I) won in a nine stone game. We thought Jaro overthought this one.

Can you eat these stones? They look like M&M's. You should play Go with M&M's and the winner will eat all candies.

You are not the first person to ask that question in the nearly 26 years I've been a go player, believe me. :D

I'm just really smart, like 350 IQ, and I always tend to broaden my horizons. That's why I ask! :D

Having friends who like to play GO with you, it's a blessing.
Yeah, that's the spirit. Beat them Jaro Wahaha!

"That's the spirit!"

This guy's skin is really tough lol.
He was just struck a couple times with a sword but he is smiling...

Roy is a combat model replicant. His toughness is more than skin deep. He was struck with some kind of metal bar or pipe Deckard was able to yank off the wall. In the end, Deckard whose job it was to hunt down and "retire" the replicants who've run away, became the hunted one.

Have you not seen Blade Runner?

I've never seen the original movie, I don't remember why :(
Only checked the new one, In episodes, not full.
Do you recommend them?)

I haven't seen the new one, but I've heard it's quite good, too. A friend of mine whose judgement I trust, says the new one is not the masterpiece the 1982 original was.

Hmmm, Okay I will try to find some time to watch it then. I like Harrison Ford :d

nice come back, do you guys make the game "interesting" sometimes if you know what i mean? maybe play for a few beers or who pays next time? hah

That's an interesting idea.

Congratulations, you won! :) Hyvää ystävänpäivää!

I lost the first game but won the second one. Thanks! Hyvää ystävänpäivää sinullekin!

By the way, that board is made by @gamer00 himself. He is the host of our club. Those stones are ordinary Japanese(?) glass stones.

all things in your post nice but game is interesting more.... anyway nice shout....
