END OF MINNOWS UPRISING JULY|SHARING MY RESULTS & PROGRESS FOR JULY & AUGUST'S |WHAT DID YOU ACHIEVE IN JULY?

At the beginning of this month,@taskmaster4450 embarked on an initiative dubbed the #minnowsuprisingjuly. If you missed it, it's rather unfortunate as it has been such an impactful initiative for my steemit journey. I remember I did so many posts about it and hinted about it on most my videos at the end of June and beginning of July.Tomorrow, 31st July, marks the end of the Minnows Uprising, what would you say you have accomplished in that entire month? I am feeling particularly overwhelmed by just looking back at how much that initiative has kept me going.I was super hyped about it when I found out what it was all about. If you are curious to find out what it was all about, here's an over view..

In a nutshell, it was and still is an initiative to mobilize minnows to come together and support each other and take back the power as well as the share of the reward pool. How could we have potentially done this?The basic minimum requirements were as follows;

• Post atleast 3-5 posts per day

• Maximise on your voting power by either voting for yourself or voting for your fellow minnows and ensuring that you use your 10-11 upvotes per day wisely. That is if you have SP below 500.

• Using the #minnowsuprising tag to connect and find other participants more easily.

Pretty basic right?

While most would argue that 3-4 posts a day would be too much work and would somewhat render the quality of the content wanting. Task Master did encourage use of other steem dapps such as @dtube @dlive @steepshot @steemhunt @steemmonster and so on to help you meet your daily goals.

I am one of those that have fully maximized or trying to maximize on using these dapps. I have made a daily schedule for my blog which I have tried to follow religiously so far. Some of the platforms I am using on a daily basis are @dtube @dlive @steemhunt and abit of @steepshot and as of last week, I started using @esteem. Creating content on here has never been easier for anyone who is willing to break the barriers, if anything, I'd say we are probably spoilt for choice. With the many other dapps sprouting every other day, this platform is going to be a creators heaven in my opinion which is something we should all be looking forward to.

Looking back, I am very thankful that I took advantage of this initiative and joined full-force. It has helped me to test myself, to create content even when I didn't want to because I had a goal at the back of my head. It has helped me to meet very amazing steemians and dtubers whose acquaintance I am very thankful for, it has enabled me to learn how to maintain consistency, and most importantly, I have been very fortunate this last week to gain some recognition from the very supportive @kpine.

It has been a worth it journey. I am loving every moment of being on this platform. While I was still doing my 4 posts per day before joining this initiative, I feel it has given me a different perspective of what is truly capable on this platform.My Goals for July were as follows;

• -Get to 60 REP
• -Get to 500SP
• -Do at-least 15 One-on-One Interviews for both @DTube & @Dlive
• -Do at-least 30 posts a week which approximately is 120 posts in July.

While I did manage to get to 60 REP and hitting my 120 posts by end of the week, the latter 2 are yet to be full-filled. I have a feeling I will get to 500SP before the end of August, and as for my interviews, I most likely would have done it all if I had the appropriate gear.I did do a few and managed to share one, however, my phone camera quality has been a bit of a let down mostly at night which is when most people seem to be available for it(no thanks to times zones).

What does that mean now?

It basically means I have more work and more goals to achieve in August and Hopefully you guys will continue to support me to get where I need to be. It means I am excited for the journey ahead. It means I am stoked to meet more amazing steemians to walk this journey with. It means I am still very hopeful and passionate about this opportunity that presented itself at the beginning of this year.It Simply Means there's More to Come!!

There's something about declaring your goals and journey to others, it gives you a sense of responsibility, it makes you work extra harder just not to disapoint others. It doesn't necessarily mean you feel like you owe it unto them, it just keeps you grounded which ultimately means it's a good thing for you in the long run.

Talking of goals, I feel I should probably highlight what I mostly want to achieve for myself this coming month, that way, someone might feel motivated to do the same.I am keeping it very simple and realistic so as not to get frustrated and distracted from the course.

In no particular order, I would like to achieve the following in August 2018;

• Atleast 500SP
• Atleast 10 One-on-One's
• Buy a Webcam from my Steemit Earnings
• Start & Finish a Video Editing Course on Coursera
• Get some Personal Branding Graphics for my Page
