God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie. Hebrews 6,18.jpg

God cannot lie, what does it mean? This means that God cannot go against his own logic. The gospel teach us about God:
"In the beginning was he Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind." John 1:1-3
The word is eternal and uncreated, we receive the Word through divine inspiration. The Word is the same wisdom. God is the wisdom itself explain Thomas Aquinas.
God is the perfection itself, God because he is wise loves well. Wisdom is before love, to love something you have to know it first. In theology God is omnipotent, but above all logical. We cannot attribute imperfections to God like the error, the sin, the passions, the lie.
Aristotle's metaphysics demonstrates through the theory of act and potency, that among the primordial and eternal entities there is neither corruption, nor lies, nor evil, nor falsehood.
Wisdom is, in essence, the love of truth and virtue, it is important to emphasize that between truth and falsehood there is no intermediate state, as it happens between good and evil.
After explaining that God cannot lie, the letter tells us of a promise and an oath. By the promise we have hope, hope is the assurance of receiving eternal life.
This promise is expressed in the beatitudes of the Sermon on the Mount, the plan of God, Matthew 5:3-11:
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be conforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of the righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven
God promises happiness and God's vision to those who choose to live according to the spirit, that is, to those who choose to live the gifts received. We choose between the flesh and the spirit.
