The greatness of God: If they obey and serve him, they will spend the rest of their days in prosperity. Job 36:11

The book of Job is a very important book that teaches us about the greatness of God, and the importance of cultivating the fear of God (constancy, firmness, devotion, equanimity, and stability) even in the most difficult moments.
Many times devout men, and particularly the wisest, act with a certain degree of especially hidden selfishness, because without expressing it openly when they worship God and try to please him, they do so because they seek to receive his blessings. It is necessary to recognize a spiritual truth, even the wisest men, those who have achieved the spiritual perfection through Gnosis, are at some point selfish.
And this is what happened to a certain extent with Job, this character in his book was a person who feared God and constantly worshiped the Lord, but without knowing it he began to suffer a series of misfortunes because God had put him to the test. And it was there that Job committed a great sin, because he wanted to become God's judge, Job's selfishness in his suffering made him make a mistake.
And so Job had to face a situation of great helplessness and uncertainty, but the book tells us that his friends came to his aid when they found out about his situation, Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar.
These friends made a series of speeches in the face of Job's anguish, and the dialogue between them remained inconclusive; and it is here that a fourth friend Elihu appeared. And Elihu in his wisdom, the youngest of all, taught that many times suffering is a path that God places to separate men from the path of evil. Being good doesn't mean that bad things don't have to happen to us.
Intelligent men should know how to get through the bad times, Elihu taught in his wisdom, and men must be sure that God blesses and prospers the upright, as this friend of Job expressed: "If they obey and serve him, they will spend the rest of their days in prosperity" Job 36:11.
