maha shivaratri is celebrate for mahadev's (महादेव)and devi parwati's(देवी पार्वती) marriage celebration.
It is said that mahadev(महादेव) is the strongest god among all gods in hindu culture.
Mahadev (महादेव) is the god who spend most fo her time in meditation (ध्यान) / Samadhi (समाधि).
Mahadev is very far from all the "maya moh".
At maha shivaratri all the bhakt takes bhang. as parsad
