WHY GO TO HEBREW SOURCES FOR BETTER BIBLE INTERPRETATION?

Today, the media show a reality based on an image. The newscasts form and deform public opinion, showing certain types of scenes, with well-studied visual and sound effects, when they want to produce a particular result in the viewer's mind. It is interesting to observe how some news is accompanied by a background music to generate a certain emotional frame. In this way governments are destabilized, wars are started and commercial products and ideologies are sold.

Experts in mass media social communication argue that everything that crosses the border of our mind (through radio, television, movies, advertising, Internet, etc.) can transform our thoughts and our behavior. The thoughts and actions that we believe are ours are really a response to the information programmed and destined to reach our mind.

Is our mental health in danger, our ethical and moral values are in danger, our faith and our hope are in danger?

It is impossible to prevent the world and its customs from approaching us and influencing one way or another, because we live in society and we need to be in contact with others and with everything that happens around us.

If your mind has been assaulted, and has been the subject of subtle teachings away from the thought of Yehovah and his teachings revealed in the Scriptures (Tanak), it is a good time to make a stop in your life and renew your thinking and direct your actions and attitudes towards Elohim (Teshuva); and if starting from scratch is the way for our understanding of the Elohim of Scripture to be clear, and objective, it is worth subduing pride and demurring the face of pride not wanting to abandon practices, customs and erroneous teachings that we inherited and that they do not conform to the character and nature of Elohim and much less fit their purposes.

The understanding and interpretation of the Scriptures is not as simple as it seems, that is why we need methods and codes or rules of interpretation. But above all the help of the Ruach Hakodesh (Divine Presence) or Holy Spirit who will guide us in each correct step. The kingdom of heaven is similar to a man who searches in a field for a treasure buried with a metal detector, but does not know where to look exactly, so he goes around the field without finding it, until the person who buried him indicates it. Likewise we can have methods and rules of interpretation (like the metal detector), but it is the Holy Spirit who buried the treasure and who can guide us to this, and hence the importance of maintaining our communion and harmony with it.
