United States Bullion Depository Needs a audit !

in gold •  7 years ago

United States Bullion Depository at Fort Knox, Kentucky has not been audited since the 1970s. Bitcoin gets audited every couple of days by the blockchain and miners. It has now been 40+ years since a civilian have even taken a picture or video of the inside of the vault. I will have to post this picture for now until the truth comes out! #gold

According to Wikipedia It has been estimated that all the gold mined by the end of 2011 totaled 171,300 tonnes.[1] At a price of US$1,500 per troy ounce, reached on 12 April 2013, one tonne of gold has a value of approximately US$48.2 million. The total value of all gold ever mined would exceed US$8.2 trillion at that valuation, that's a little bit less now that called us at $1280 per ounce.

Would it be funny or scary if the gold vault is empty and there is no gold.

As of April 2016, Fort Knox holdings are 4,582 metric tons (147.3 million oz. troy). At the rate of $1,226.60 an ounce it is worth about $180 billion. The depository also holds monetary gold coins. According to http:/ /goldschoices.blogspot.com/2017/07/how-much-gold-is-worth.html?m=1

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York holds about 418 tons of gold.
